- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 c. apples, pared, cored and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 egg yolk
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

2Mix well.

3Add apples, tossing until evenly coated.

4Spoon into pastry shell, mounding in center.

5Dot with butter.

6Bake in 400° oven for 30 minutes or until crust begins to brown and apples are tender.

7Remove pie from oven and lower temperature to 350°.
