- 6 eggs (room temperature for 1 hour)
- 1 2/3 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. grated fresh orange rind
- 4 Tbsp. fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Separate the egg yolk and white.

2Beat the white of the egg until stiff.

3Add 1/2 cup sugar to egg white until blended.

4Set aside.

5Mix the sifted flour with the salt.

6Set aside.

7Beat egg yolk until lemon colored (not under 3 minutes).

8Add 1 cup sugar to egg yolk.

9Beat until well blended.
-
10Add 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor.

11Beat again until blended.
-
12Add the flour alternately with the orange juice until well mixed.

13Using over and under motion, add orange rind and egg white to mixture.

14Bake in Bundt pan at 350° for 1 hour.

15Sprinkle confectioners sugar over cake.
