  • 2 1/4 c. cake flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 3/4 c. orange juice (rind optional)
  • 1 c. egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • pinch of salt

    together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a hole in center and add oil, egg yolks and orange juice. Mix in bowl

    Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until

    with mixer.

    Blend top ingredients in with egg whites lightly, using a spatula. I use an angel food cake pan to bake.

    Bake at 325° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
