  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or use Spenda brown sugar blend)
  • 2/3 cup grits, quick-cooking and uncooked

Directions

    In a saucepan over medium heat bring water and orange juice to a boil.

    Stir in grits, orange peel and salt into water/juice mixture. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook stirring for 3-5 minutes or until thickened.

    Pour into serving dishes and sprinkle with brown sugar. Let stand until sugar melts.
