Orange Rice & Spice Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 cups water
  • milk, to cover rice
  • salt
  • 12 cup dry milk
  • 14 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon allspice
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg (I don't like nutmeg, so I wouldn't use but a dash, but its your choice)
  • 14 cup ground nuts
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 12 cup raisins (optional)
  • orange slice, to garnish (optional)

Directions

    Mix rice water and salt in a saucepan.

    Bring to a boil, stir, cover and reduce to a simmer.

    Simmer 35-40 minutes or until rice is cooked.

    Add milk to cover rice.

    Stir in remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until heated through.

    Garnish with orange slices, if desired.
