  • 1 lb. orange slice candy
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box chopped dates
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in milk
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 can coconut
  • 2 c. nuts

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    Add flour and milk; roll nuts, dates and candy that has been cut into small pieces in flour and then add coconut.

    Cook in well greased tube pan at 250° for 2 1/2 hours.
