  • 1 pkg. caramels (approximately 40)
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, etc.)
  • 1 c. chocolate chips or less
  • 1/2 c. butter

    Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk.

    Set aside.

    Mix melted butter, cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts (this mixture is thick).

    Press half of the dough in pan and bake 8 minutes at 350°.
