Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. round or sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 c. green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 c. slivered celery
- 2 cans consomme
- 3 tsp. soy sauce
- 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Brown beef in olive oil and add garlic and cook until garlic turns yellow.

2Add salt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and water.

3Cook 1/2 hour covered.

4Add vegetables and consomme; cover and cook 5 minutes at high heat.

5Stir in cornstarch and sugar, mixed with a little water to thicken slightly.

6Serve over rice. Serves 6.
