Oven Caramel Corn

  • 3 3/4 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Divide popped corn into 2 ungreased baking pans (13 x 9 x 2-inch).

    In saucepan, heat sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt, stirring occasionally, until bubbly around edges.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in soda until foamy.

    Pour onto corn, stirring, until all is coated.

    Bake at 200° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove and cool.
