  • 8 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. peanuts (optional)

Directions

    Boil sugar, salt, margarine, Karo and vanilla for 5 minutes. Watch carefully.

    Remove from heat and add soda.

    Stir quickly. Pour over corn and peanuts, mixing well.

    Put onto large cookie sheets and bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring several times.

    Store in tightly closed container when cool.
