Ingredients

  • 6 to 7 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix sugar, butter and syrup.

    Boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add soda, cream of tartar and salt.

    Stir quickly and pour over popcorn.

    Mix well.

    Put in large roaster at 200° for 1 hour.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    If desired, may also add peanuts.
