Oven Pork Chops

  • 4 large pork chops
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced about 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions

    In a heavy skillet, brown the pork chops on both sides in the vegetable oil, a minute or 2 per side.

    Place the chops in a large casserole dish.

    Layer on the potatoes, add the chopped onion.

    Add the soup, undiluted.

    Cover and bake at 325° for 45 minutes.

    Raise the oven temperature to 375° and bake for 30 minutes more.

    Remove the cover for the last 10 minutes for crispier chops.
