Ingredients

  • 2 lb. cut up beef (stew meat)
  • 6 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. tomato juice
  • 1 medium onion, quartered
  • 4 to 6 potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Place meat and vegetables in a roaster. Sprinkle with salt, sugar, pepper and tapioca.

    Pour tomato juice over.

    Cover and bake in a preheated 300° oven for 4 hours. Stir occasionally.
