Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, cut fine
  • 1 1/2 lb. chuck, cubed
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • 1 c. carrots, cut in pieces
  • 1 to 2 c. celery, cut in fine pieces
  • 1 green pepper, cut fine
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • pepper to taste

    Cover and bake at 250° for 5 hours.

    Potatoes can be added 2 hours before stew is done.
