- 2 lb. beef, cut up for stew
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 4 small onions
- 4 small carrots
- 4 small potatoes
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 can water
Directions

1Sprinkle beef with flour mixed with seasonings.

2Toss with oil in a 3-quart casserole.

3Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 30 minutes. Stir once.

4Add vegetables, salt and pepper.

5Pour tomato sauce and water over all.

6Cover; bake at 350° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
