- 2 to 3 lb. beef chuck, cubed
- 1 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 to 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1 large onion, cut up
- 2 stalks celery, diced
Directions

1Place meat in lightly buttered casserole or small roasting pan.

2Add sliced mushrooms, onion and celery; sprinkle onion soup mix over all.

3Add cream of mushroom soup (undiluted).

4Cover tightly with foil 3 to 4 hours at 325°.

5Uncover once or twice during cooking period and stir.

6You may add a little wine before covering the stew.

7Serve over cooked noodles.
