  • 2 lb. stew meat, cut in pieces
  • 6 or more carrots, cut in 3-inch chunks
  • 6 to 8 stalks celery, cut in 3-inch chunks
  • 6 or more onions
  • 1 can V-8 juice (1 pt., 8 fluid oz. can)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • seasonings to suit own taste
  • 1 sweet green pepper
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca

Directions

    Put in well covered casserole in a 325° oven for 3 1/2 hours. If you wish, potatoes may be added the last hour or so.

    Cover again.
