Ingredients
- 4 to 6 carrots, cut in 1 1/2-inch lengths
- 3 celery stems, cut in 1 1/2-inch lengths
- 2 to 4 potatoes (large chunks)
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
- 1 slice bread, crumbled
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 onions, cut small
- small can mushrooms
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. stew meat
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Mix all ingredients well and put in roasting pan with a tight lid.

2Bake at 225° to 250° for 5 hours.

3Serve as is or in bread bowls.
