  • 1 box butter cake mix, baked as directed
  • 1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 large bananas
  • 2 c. Cool Whip
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 2 c. pecans (if desired)

Directions

    Cook pineapple and sugar for 5 minutes in a small pan.

    Pour over cake.

    Mix together the cream cheese and pudding; pour over pineapple.

    Slice bananas and put on for next layer.

    Add Cool Whip, nuts and coconut to make final topping.
