  • 6 slices bread, trimmed and cubed
  • 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • lb. cooked and drained sausage

Directions

    Layer ingredients in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole in the following order:

    bread cubes, cooked sausage, green peppers and cheese.

    Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.

    Pour over layers.

    Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

    Bake uncovered at 350° for 35 minutes.
