- 12 slices bread (no crusts)
- 8 oz. Cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
- 6 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- bacon, sausage, ham, onions and/or green peppers (optionals)
Directions

1Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Butter each slice bread and cut in 6 slices each.

3Put half bread in bottom of pan; cover with half of cheese.

4Top with other half bread and cheese.

5Mix other ingredients; pour over bread and cheese.

6Puncture bread with fork several times to soak up mixture.

7Cover and refrigerate overnight.
