Overnight Egg Bake

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread (no crusts)
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 6 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • bacon, sausage, ham, onions and/or green peppers (optionals)

    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Butter each slice bread and cut in 6 slices each.

    Put half bread in bottom of pan; cover with half of cheese.

    Top with other half bread and cheese.

    Mix other ingredients; pour over bread and cheese.

    Puncture bread with fork several times to soak up mixture.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
