- 1 c. shortening
- 4 c. hot tap water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 eggs (unbeaten)
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 14 c. flour (5 lb.)
Directions

1Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.

2Add salt and hot water. Cool.

3Add yeast and part of flour.

4Beat until smooth.

5Gradually add the rest of flour.

6Knead until good working dough.

7Mix up at 3 p.m.

8Knead down at 7 p.m.

9About 10 p.m., work down and shape into rolls.

10Cover; let set overnight.

11Bake at 7 a.m. at 360° for 20 minutes.
