- 2 pt. fresh or frozen oysters and liquid or 2 pt. canned oysters (uncooked)
- 1 1/3 c. butter
- 2 c. onion, finely chopped
- 2 c. celery, finely chopped
- 3 Tbsp. green pepper, finely chopped
- salt and pepper
- 4 qt. soft bread crumbs
- juice of 1 lemon
Directions

1Simmer fresh or frozen oysters in their own liquid until the edges begin to curl.

2Drain and chop coarsely, saving the liquid. If using canned oysters, drain, reserve juice and chop.
