Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground meat
  • 2 jars oysters, drained and chopped (save about 2 c. water)
  • giblets from turkey, chopped fine
  • small amount liver
  • 1 loaf French bread, stale
  • 1/2 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 pieces celery, chopped
  • 6 big toes garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 3 raw eggs
  • pinch of oregano
  • approximately 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. salt

Directions

    In large pot, mix together all ingredients.

    Wet bread with oyster water and water.

    Squeeze off excess water.

    Mix with everything else.

    In large frying pan, put 1 cup cooking oil. Heat well, then turn down heat to halfway.

    Put stuffing in pan and fry for 1/2 hour until light brown, stirring constantly. Stuff bird.

    Cover with foil.

    Put it in oven at 350° for 5 to 6 hours.
