Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 qt. torn bread
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
  • 1 pt. oysters, pureed in blender
  • oyster liquid and poultry stock to equal 3 c.
  • 1 1/2 c. ground cooked pork sausage
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

    Saute onion and celery in butter in a 4-quart stock pot or saucepan about 2 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 2 1/2 to 3-quart casserole and bake in 350° oven 45 to 60 minutes.

    Makes 10 to 12 servings, enough for 10 to 12 pound turkey.
