- 3 pt. select oysters
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. crackers, coarsely crushed
- 1/2 c. butter, divided
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. half and half cream
Directions

1Drain oysters, reserving 1/4 cup liquid; set aside.

2Spread 1/3 of cracker crumbs in a buttered 3-quart casserole dish. Cover with oysters.

3Dot with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Repeat layers.

5Top with rest of cracker crumbs and dot with butter

6Combine reserved oyster liquid and half and half and pour over top of crumbs.

7Bake in a 400° oven for a few minutes. Reduce heat to 350°.

8Takes 50 to 55 minutes to cook.

9Yields 8 to 10 servings.
