- 24 oysters in shells
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. snipped parsley
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- rock salt
Directions

1Thoroughly wash oysters in shells in cold water; open each with oyster knife.

2Discard flat upper shells, wash deep bottom shells. Place each oyster in shell half.

3Combine bread crumbs, cheese, parsley, thyme and pepper; toss with melted butter.

4Top each oyster with about 1 teaspoon of crumb mixture.

5Arrange shells on bed of rock salt in shallow baking pan.

6Bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes.
