- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Sift the dry ingredients together into a bowl.

2Mix the egg, milk and butter or margarine.

3Add to dry ingredients.

4Stir until the flour is moistened (the batter will be lumpy).

5Fry on a hot skillet or griddle (grease very lightly with vegetable spray). Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls or 1/4 cupfuls.

6Cook until the top side of the cake is full of bubbles and the underside is nicely browned.

7Turn cake over and brown the other side.
