- 1 qt. shredded cabbage
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Melt the butter or margarine in a heavy skillet.

2Add the cabbage; cover tight and let cabbage steam over low heat for 10 minutes.

3Stir now and then to prevent sticking.

4Season with salt and pepper.

5The cabbage gives enough of its own water to make steam and will have a wonderful color and texture cooked this way. This makes 4 to 6 servings.
