Directions

1Put sugar and milk in heavy pan. Cook to soft ball stage, 238°.

2Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Cool, without stirring, until lukewarm.

3Beat until creamy. Stir in broken nuts and pour into buttered dish.

4Pour before it turns white.
