  • 1 c. extra long grain rice
  • 1 can chicken or beef broth
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 c. parsley flakes

    Pour rice into glass 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

    Add water to chicken broth to make 2 cups.

    Pour into saucepan and bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in butter until melted.

    Pour over rice.

    Cover tightly.

    Bake in a 375° oven until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
