  • 1/8 c. oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 6 c. water
  • 1 medium can tomato sauce
  • 1 jar Northern beans or baked beans
  • 1 3/4 c. ditalini pasta (uncooked)
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    In a large pot, saute onion and garlic in oil; do not brown. Stir in water, tomato sauce, beans and spices.

    Bring to a boil. Add pasta and boil until pasta is tender, stirring to prevent pasta from clumping or sticking to bottom of pot.
