- 1 1/2 c. fat or 2 c. lard
Directions

1Sift flour and salt; blend in lard.

2Store in covered container in a cool place.

3Use 1 cup of mix for each crust.

4Add just enough water to hold dough together.

5For a very flaky crust, divide fat in half.

6Cut in the first half of fat until mixture is as fine as meal.

7Cut in the remaining fat until mixture is crumbled to the size of peas.

8This recipe makes 11 cups of mix.
