- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 to 3/4 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. cold water
Directions

1Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender. Add water in small amounts to dry material.

2Shape into balls; place in bowl and cover tightly until ready to use.

3Roll 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board.

4Bake at 450° about 15 minutes. Yields 1 (9-inch) double-crust pie, 2 (9-inch) pie shells or 14 (4-inch) tart shells.
