  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 3 c. small marshmallows
  • 2/3 c. white syrup
  • 12 oz. butterscotch chips
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 2 c. salted peanuts

    Mix together cake mix, egg and margarine.

    Batter will be stiff.

    Bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes. While cake is hot, top with marshmallows and set aside.

    In a heavy saucepan, stir together white syrup, butterscotch chips and vanilla.

    Heat on stove until melted.

    Add Rice Krispies and salted peanuts.

    Spread on top of cake.
