- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 12 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup dried split peas
Directions

1Bring broth to boil in a medium saucepan.

2Add the garlic, basil, onion and split peas and return to boil.

3Reduce heat, cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed and peas are tender, about 30 minutes.
