  • 2 cups dried peas
  • 12 lb pork spareribs, cut in pieces with bone
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

    Soak peas 2 to 3 hours overnight.

    Retaining soaking water, add pork and onion.

    Bring to a boil, cover.

    Reduce heat to a simmer and cook about 4 hours.

    Add salt to taste.

    Remove pork bones and serve hot.
