- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. chopped fresh peaches
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Cream butter and sugar.

3Add egg, beating lightly.

4Add milk alternately with the flour, baking powder, salt and spices that have been mixed together.

5Beat well after each addition.

6Stir in pecans.

7Flour peaches with 1/4 cup flour, tossing to coat.

8Carefully stir into the dough.

9Pour batter into 2 loaf pans that have been buttered and floured.

10Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until they test done.
