- 3 c. sliced fresh peaches
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
Directions

1Puree in blender the peaches and 6 tablespoons sugar; set aside.

2Combine and set aside the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon.

3Cream together 1 1/2 cups sugar and shortening.

4Add and mix well the eggs.

5Add peach puree and dry ingredients and mix well until the ingredients are moistened. Stir in vanilla extract and pecans.

6Spoon batter into 2 well-greased and floured pans.

7Bake at 325° for 55 to 60 minutes.
