  • 8 c. sliced peaches, crushed or blended
  • 4 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice

Directions

    Mix peaches, sugar and salt in large kettle.

    Boil rapidly, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

    Lower heat as the butter starts to thicken.

    Add spices and continue cooking until butter is very thick.

    Pour into sterilized jars, leaving 1/2-inch at top. Seal.
