Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 lb. raisins
  • 4 lb. peaches, peeled and cut into small chunks
  • 2/3 c. fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. red chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 lb. brown sugar

Directions

    Put the onion, garlic and raisins through food chopper.

    Put all ingredients in a large pot and boil 1 hour or until chutney is a rich brown color and rather thick.

    Pour while hot into 3 hot pint jars and seal at once.
