- 1 recipe pastry
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour or 3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- dash of nutmeg
- 6 c. peeled and sliced fresh peaches
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- butter or margarine
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2Line a 9-inch pie pan with a little more than half the pastry.

3Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and peaches.

4Place in crust; sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter.

5Roll remaining pastry out and use.

6Can be cut into fancy shapes and placed on top of peaches.

7Flute edges of pie.

8Bake for 15 minutes.

9Reduce heat to 375° and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and peaches are tender. Makes one 9-inch pie.
