- 3 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 5 c. sliced peaches (about 5 large ones)
Directions

1Combine sugar and water in large Dutch oven.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.

3Add peaches; bring to boil and cook 20 minutes or until peaches are clear, stirring occasionally.

4Remove from heat; cover and let stand 12 to 18 hours in a cool place.
