Peach Preserves

  • 1 qt. sliced peaches (4 c.)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon or 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 c. sugar

Directions

    Combine peaches, lemon juice, butter and 2 cups sugar.

    Boil for 10 minutes.

    Add 2 more cups of sugar and boil for 10 minutes more.

    Remove from heat; put into large bowl.

    Let stand overnight.

    Seal in jars next day.

    Keep in refrigerator.
