  • 1 bag dried peaches 5 oz I think
  • 1 peach yogurt greek
  • 1/2 stick butter chilled
  • 1 cup flour white
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder >>>>>>>>>> NON ALUMINUM <<<<<<<<<
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or less, sea salt preferably
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or less of, optional
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • orange juice or other liquid, cream, milk or water if needed
  • pecans optional

    Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl

    I cut butter into cubes then use pastry blender to combine with dry ingredients
  3. 3
    now add the yogurt and form dough(also vanilla if using)

    work gently just until blended (add liquid or flour if needed) chop peaches and gently fold in and pecans if using

    form disk and wrap in plastic chill for min of 30 mins

    preheat oven now to 375-400 roll out between 2 plastic sheets into a circle(about 12 inch)

    cut like a pizza - make 8 scones move to parchment lined sheet

    bake 10 mins turn then maybe 10 more until browned nicely
