Peach Upside-Down Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 can sliced peaches
  • maraschino cherry halves
  • Cool Whip, thawed

    Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan.

    Drain peaches.

    Arrange peaches and cherries in sugar mixture.

    Mix cake as directed on box; spread batter over fruit.

    Bake at 350° for about 45 to 50 minutes until cake tests done with a toothpick.
