  • 1 pkg. butter flavor cake mix (make 2 layers)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 c. chopped fresh peaches
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. whipping cream or Cool Whip
  • 2 or 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • fresh sliced peaches

    Mix and bake 2 cake layers as directed on box.

    Cool layers; split each layer.

    Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Add peaches and water; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
