- 3 chicken breasts (halved)
- 1/2 c. flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 c. orange juice
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 (16 oz.) can peach or apricot halves, drained
Directions

1Shake chicken juices in bag with flour, salt and pepper.

2Brown in butter and oil.

3Place browned chicken in greased 3-quart casserole dish.

4Combine orange juice with vinegar, sugar, basil and nutmeg and pour over chicken.

5Cover and bake at 375° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender.

6Baste often, then place peach or apricot halves between chicken pieces.

7Baste well and bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer.

8Serves 6.
