  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 48 Hershey's Kisses

Directions

    In a large bowl, stir flour, soda and salt.

    Add remaining ingredients (except candy Kisses) and mix at medium speed until well combined.

    Chill dough 30 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 375°. Roll small amount of dough into 1-inch ball.

    Dip into sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet, sugar side up.

    Bake 10 minutes. Remove and place Kiss in center.

    Makes 4 dozen.
