  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • bag of candy kisses

Directions

    Mix sugar (both), shortening, peanut butter, egg and milk until smooth.

    Add soda, flour, salt and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Roll into balls (about 1 teaspoon); roll in white sugar.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet; bake at 375° for 8 minutes.

    Remove from oven and press candy kiss (unwrapped) in middle until sides crack.

    Put back in oven for 2 to 5 minutes, until brown.
